Duties
Management and oversight of all dealer clients in the territory
Build relationships and manage all dealers in territory to maximize the dealer success in the areas of sales, service, parts and rental for the contracted product. This includes direct end-user customer sales calls with dealership sales team
Provide sales leadership to dealer sales teams
Manage channel conflict and resolution for underperforming dealers
Create and execute action plans to meet product goals, sales goals and strategies established by management
Manage discretionary retail funds to generate and close retail sales
Supply reports to management and dealer partners outlining positives and negatives as well as operational issues
Support growth of new product entries
Provide assistance to product support team to resolve field issues
Develop and grow sales to distribution, Independent Rental Industry and National Accounts for all products
Suggest proactive solutions to the equipment acquisition and remarketing process
Direct field support activities and resolve all issues and disputes
Execute sales strategies to promote and facilitate sales to independent dealers
Work with dealers to ensure they have the inventory needed to achieve goals through pipeline management
Protect company assets and assist in the collection of past-due accounts as required
Manage the prospecting and appointment of new dealers in the territory
Work with the Sales Manager to analyze open territories
Interview dealer candidates and review company presentation
Narrow focus and request business plans from top candidates
Review submitted business plans with Sales Manager and select the best candidate for territory
Manage the prospecting and appointment of new dealers in the territory
Develop initial stock order with dealer candidate and ensure all information is submitted to be reviewed and approved by Sales Manager
Responsible for coordinating all new dealer launch activities
Developing and executing equipment training plan
Develop and maintain product knowledge and application expertise
Provide assistance to the product support team to resolve field issues
Assist with national and regional trade shows to support sales and the development of wholesale and retail marketing programs
Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree in Business, Industrial Distribution or other related field
One to three years experience in sales field
Hands on work ethic required to facilitate territory visits and in-office duties
Proficient in English (written and oral)
Strong organizational and planning skills
Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up
Adept at handling multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
Strong written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills
Flexible and able to adapt to rapid change
Proactive self-starter
Ability to work autonomously and as a team-player
Working knowledge of Microsoft office, MapPointEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
