CNC Machinist
We are currently seeking a CNC Machinist for our Salem, Oregon facility.
This position will be responsible for the set-up and operation of CNC milling centers. Our number one goal is to product high quality parts in order to meet customer demand and specification. You must be able to make informed suggestions for improved processes to support continuous improvement on the production floor.
MAJOR DUTIES
Produce on-time quality parts to customer specifications.
Verify set-up sheets and blue print requirements using shop math and measuring instruments
Follow company process and procedures to comply ISO and AS9100 standards.
Effectively communicate with all levels of staff.
Self-motivated, highly organized and able to multitask.
Work efficiently in a team environment.
Contribute to the company and your team by identify and communicate project improvements opportunities.
Follow basic shop housekeeping rules.
Follow all company safety practices and rules.
NECESSARY EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
Must have or soon to obtain a two-year machinist certification and/or (2) two years of solid CNC machining experience with on-the-job training in similar environment for Level I entry level position.
Level II CNC Machinists must a minimum of five years CNC machining experience with multi-axis machining, working with tight tolerances.
Efficient at a production level machining.
A strong understanding of shop math, which includes blue print reading and GD&T, must be able to accurately measure dimensions on parts.
Knowledge of cutting tools
Experience machining parts with tight tolerances
Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings.
Able to work flexible hours - including over-time, weekends and swing shift to meet customer demand.
