Job Description
1. GENERAL SUMMARY
As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for the set-up and operation of CNC mill machines. The number one goal is to product high quality parts in order to meet customer demand and specification. You must be able to make informed suggestions for improved processes to support continuous improvement on the production floor. As a CNC Machinist, you must be able to work in a fast-pace environment running more than one machine.
2. MAJOR DUTIES
Produce on-time quality parts to customer specifications.
Verify set-up sheets and blue print requirements using shop math and measuring instruments.
Follow company process and procedures to comply ISO and AS9100 standards.
Effectively communicate with all levels of staff.
Self-motivated, highly organized and able to multi-task.
Work efficiently in a team environment.
Contribute to the company and your team by identify and communicate project improvements opportunities.
Follow basic shop housekeeping rules.
Follow all company safety practices and rules.
3. SUPERVISORY AUTHORITY
None.
4. NECESSARY EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
Associates degree and/or trade school certification in machining or equivalent to is preferred however not required with two years of solid job history operating CNC's.
Efficient at a production level machining.
A strong understanding of shop math, which includes blue print reading and GDT, must be able to accurately measure dimensions on parts.
Knowledge of cutting tools.
Experience machining parts with tight tolerances
Must be able to pass all pre-employment drug screening as well as random screens throughout employment.
Able to work flexible hours - including over-time, weekends and swing shift to meet customer demand.
Must have or soon to obtain a two-year machinist certification and/or (2) two years of solid CNC machining experience with on-the-job training in similar environment
