Our Lead Sales Development Representative focuses on representing and growing the Development and Commercial Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) Manufacturing Services business at Patheon, part of Thermo Fisher Scientific.
This is a multifaceted role within our organization and is directly responsible to drive growth by developing and implementing strategies to generate sales from new and existing accounts in the assigned territory.
The Sr.
BDE builds an internal and external network that enables client success and identifies new target clients.
This role focuses on bringing on new projects for Patheon s industry leading API manufacturing services.
The territory for this role will cover the Pacific Northwest and will require travel 25% of the time within this territory.
What will you do?New Business Development includes finding new opportunities with clients through interaction with other Patheon teams, prospecting the defined sales territory and accounts as well as following up various leadsEngaging prospective clients to increase awareness of Patheon s service offering and key differentiators from our competitionIdentifying and presenting Patheon s value proposition, including opportunities for strategic bundling of Patheon servicesManagement of current relationshipsWork closely with quotations and business management teams to develop quotations that addressEducationTechnical background in Chemistry or related field is preferredBachelor s degree in a related field required, MBA preferredExperience5
years of demonstrated experience performing and/or selling related services within the CDMO industry5
years of established network in the pharmaceutical industry is requiredProfessional presentation skills and ability to network within senior management ranks.
