Bridgeway Recovery Services is currently seeking qualifiedAddictions Treatment Specialists (Behavioral Health Aides) - POOLfor our Residential Treatment Program Come join our growing residential treatment program teams where you will work alongside those that are passionate about seeing lives changed and relationships restored!This recruitment will be used to fill current and future full-time, part-time and on-call behavioral health aide positionsWe are hiring staff for various work schedules - day, swing, and NOC shifts to provide care for our clients.

About this PositionThis program support position will work within a multidisciplinary team including a therapist, a recovery mentor, and other Addiction Treatment SpecialistsWorking closely with clients living in our residential problem gambling and alcohol and drug treatment programs.
Primary PurposeResponsible for supporting and caring for clients residing in Bridgeway's inpatient and residential treatment facilitiesAssists in the implementation of an educational and supportive treatment environmentEngages in positive and appropriate relationship building with clients, resource community partners and co-workersThe person in this position is expected to support the agency's mission.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assists in the day-to-day operation of the residential program by performing tasks as assigned by the program manager.
Develops and maintains a positive relationship with everyone served.
Provides monitoring, care, and support to clients in accordance with Bridgeway Recovery Services policies.
Responsible for the quality of home life, total home climate, and physical condition of the house.
Assists and teaches individuals served to care for themselves in daily living tasks and social skills areas.
Prepares and serves meals as directed by our culinary services department.
Conducts hourly bed checks if working overnight.
Accurately documents the support provided in the client's electronic health record.
Transports clients to outside activities safely and prudently.
Attends community meetings.
Counts and records equipment and food items for inventory.
Maintains an organized and clean work environment.
Qualifications and Experience Typically requires a High School Diploma or General Education Certificate (GED).
Peer Support Specialist or Traditional Health Worker certification would be a plus.
Must possess current Oregon Food Handler card or become certified within two weeks of hire date.
Must be CPR/First Aid certified or become certified within two weeks of hire date.
Must possess current and unrestricted Oregon Driver's License In addition to a high school level education, preference is given to candidates enrolled in a college-level degree program and working towards gaining certification in a Human Services related field Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Excellent interpersonal communication skills and time management skills are required to work effectively.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing, manage time and meet deadlines.
Understand and follow oral and written instructions.
A qualified candidate must be able to pass a criminal background check Must be fully COVID-19 vaccinated before the employment start date.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
