General Production Laborer - Day Shift (7:
00 AM - 3:

Summary:
This job title covers several positions related to processing inventory on the production floor.
Duties are defined by immediate needs as directed by the shift supervisor and line leads.
This job requires versatility in a fast-paced environment, as employees may shift from position to position as necessary throughout a shift.
This position has direct responsibility for food safety.
Essential Functions:
Includes but is not limited to:
Finished Inspector - This position is responsible for inspecting all product being processed on the processing line.
Raw Inspector - This position is responsible for sorting product on the processing line by removing the substandard product as defined by quality assurance standards and customer specifications.
Labeler - This position places adhesive labels on the pales and passes them off to the lidder.
Pump Attendant - This position monitors bean sprouts and spreads them out evenly to prevent the pump from clogging up.
Spreader - This position works with the bean sprouts making sure they are de-watered before going into the freezer tunnel.
Case Liner - This position places a plastic liner in cases, barrels, or totes.
Case Maker - This position is responsible for assembling and preparing cases for product packaging by inspecting case/pallet/drum to ensure it is in good condition and inserting plastic liners as needed.
Clean Up - This position is responsible for the cleanup of assigned production areas.
Tote Maker - This position assembles and prepares cardboard totes for products.
Case Closer - This position closes the cases after case has been filled with product.
Box tear down - This position tears down boxes that the product arrived in.
Barrel Washer - This position is responsible for the washing and cleaning of barrels.
Stacker - This position is responsible for casing product that has been packaged and properly stacking packed boxes onto a pallet following specified stack patterns.
Dumper - This position is responsible for dumping product onto conveyer belts using a pneumatic tote dumper as well as dumping boxes/crates by hand according to standards communicated by the supervisor.
Crate Washer - This position is responsible for sorting and stacking empty crates on pallets, and prepare them for pick up by forklift drivers.
Lidder - This position is responsible for placing lids on full pales and sealing them.
This position also takes full barrels and places lids and seals the barrel.
Tote Mover - This position moves totes of product (empty or full).
Barrel Mover - This position moves full barrels onto a pallet, scale, or onto dumping machine.
All general laborers must complete all training for OSHA compliance, Hazmat and MSDS requirements and regulations (i.

Lockout/Tagout, Fall Protection/Confined Space, Respiratory Protection, Ammonia Control, Hot Work, Emergency Response and Evacuation, etc.
).
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
The position typically spends about 100% of time in a production environment.
The majority of the time spent performing the duties of this job are spent standing and/or walking near a moving conveyor belt.
While performing this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear and to use hands to finger, handle or feel and see objects in a productive environment.
This position requires good manual dexterity skills.
Depending on the employee's position, the employee performing this job must be able to stand, bend, pull, kneel, and squat frequently and have the ability to lift 10-50 lbs.
Some positions require the ability to roll a 400 lb barrel.
Employee must be able to work 8-12 hours per day, and be available to work weekends if needed.
