Team Lead Summary/Objective:
The Chiropractic Assistant position is to provide full assistance and back up to the Chiropractic Provider.
Must be organized, able to multitask, and ensure accurate timely documentation of patient care.
Overall Duties & Responsibilities Back-office patient intake (greet & room patients) Take Vitals & Patient Subjective with documentation into Genesis Process paperwork to include travel cards, progress reports, work status, and referrals Use of office equipment to fax, scan, and print chart notes, records to appropriate parties Bilingual CA's:
Translate for Chiropractic Provider as needed Application of ultrasound, unattended ultrasound, laser therapy, EMS/IF and hot/cold packs Assist/Perform Rehab exercises with patients Fit and Train Patients with durable medical equipment (DME) Make patient education bags and instruct patient on the materials in the bag Assist physician in x-ray to complete necessary paperwork and develop images Sanitation of equipment and exam rooms between patients Process laundry as needed Follow clinic cleaning schedule - outlined in separate document Myovision Certified Training Job Requirements Must be 18 years of age and authorized to work in the US Ability to obtain a Chiropractic Assistant License thru the Oregon Board of Chiropractic Examiners Must pass a background check Demonstrate knowledge of the use and benefits of all therapies in the practice Job Specific Details Massage Massage Room set up and ready to go in the morning Date on the Massage log each morning & Bonus Log updated daily Massage performed at direction of Chiropractic Provider with unites verified.
Massage gun training Clean room after each patient:
clean sheets, face paper, gown, and disinfect massage table Laundry completed as needed.
Restock cover sheets and gowns.
End of day:
Remove trash, room scent off, and radio off Patient Service Rep (PSR) Complete all new patient intake and re-exam appointments.
(EHR & Paper forms) Complete Day 2 patient appointment with the doctor and provide patient education as instructed by physician Prepare paperwork for all new patient exams, re-exams, and Day 2 appointments Process referrals requests including bloodwork orders, advanced imaging orders, and outside services to include PT and medical providers Enter information from patient intake into Genesis for physician to review Knowledge of the use and benefits of all therapies in the practice Take complete subjective Create travel cards and labels for use in patient care Assist physician in x-ray to complete necessary paperwork and develop images Upload patient x-rays into Genesis Assist in financial consultations as requested for cash and major medical patients Fax records requests and referrals Upload received medical records and imaging reports into patient Genesis chart Complete patient calendars:
copy to patient and front desk for data entry Rehab Wipe down mats and equipment in the rehab gym between patients Update rehab files daily and at the end of the month Discuss necessary treatment plan changes with the physician Record time in and out for billing as well as individual versus group sessions Complete rehab tours as requested Instruct patients on home exercise program (HEP) and provide necessary DME DME application and billing Complete rehab stats daily, weekly, and monthly Create PT travel cards Scan PT logs to billing daily Job Type:
