Job Description:
We are seeking a Financial Analyst to join our Office of Enhancing Student Opportunities at the Oregon Department of Education.
This is a full time, limited duration position in management services.
This position is funded through June 30, 2023, however the position is expected to be extended beyond June 30, 2023 pending funding approval.

About Our Office:
The Office of Enhancing Student Opportunities (OESO) supports educational facilities (schools, school districts, Educational Service Districts, Long Term Care Treatment Centers, Youth Corrections and Juvenile Detention Programs) by providing educational and technical assistance services for Special Education Programs and Federal Title Programs.

What you will do! You will serve as our Financial Analyst lead in our fiscal department.
You will monitor and analyze fiscal data, and develop and adapt new methods and procedures for capturing or processing fiscal data related to maintenance of effort and other program requirements.
You will collaborate with internal, external partners and shareholders to help ensure expenditures and program activities are compliant with federal requirements and are achieving intended outcomes.
This position serves as a liaison and point of contact with school districts to answer questions, address and resolve problems, and provide technical assistance.
Evaluate broad and convoluted interconnections between administrative, fiscal, policy, and operational mandates.
You will plan and monitor fiscal allocations to school districts in the state of Oregon You will provide a leadership role that will develop:
standards, provide methods of implementation to new services in school districts and will advise leadership on budget and practices You will negotiate and manage contracts with interagency agreements You will administer program funding, determine resource allocations and funding distribution.

Additional Information Salary Range:
The range listed is the Non-PERS salary range.
Public Employee Retirement System (PERS) participating members will have their base salary increased by 6.
95% and pay a 6% employee contribution to PERS.
