Oregon Department of Education provides statewide leadership for all elementary and secondary students in Oregons public school districts and education service districts. Responsibility also extends to public preschool programs, the state School for the Deaf, regional programs for children with disabilities, and education programs in Oregon youth corrections facilities.
There is currently one Intermittent,AcademicYearposition available with the Oregon School for the Deaf (OSD).This position is classified and represented by Service Employees International Union (SEIU).
The Oregon School for the Deaf provides 24-hour service, care and education for approximately 120 hearing- impaired/deaf students who reside in Oregon from K 12 grades. The programs and departments of OSD include administration, clerical, education, dormitory/recreation, extended studies program, athletics, student guidance, maintenance/custodial, student health services, student nutrition services, evaluation and library media center, and statewide outreach.
Health services are a support service to the student population.The program provides nursing care, medical screening, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care as needed.The nursing staff provides 24 hour infirmary care to protect, promote, and improve the health of school-age children.

Responsibilities:
THE PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION IS TO:
This position was created to fill in during periods of absence for the regularly scheduled nurses at OSD. The LPN is a member of the student health services team and cares for the physical and emotional well-being of the students. LPNs work with the supervising nurse in carrying out prescribed orders to meet the students medical needs.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Duties require possible daily exposure to infectious, communicable, contagious diseases/conditions.Potential injury due to aggressive student behavior on an intermittent basis.This position requires availability for both day and swing shifts and willingness to utilize ASL for communication.
Qualifications, Required & Requested Skills:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
possess a valid Oregon Practical Nurse License at the time of appointment.
SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS
Possession of a valid Oregon Practical Nurse License or other valid authorization to temporarily practice practical nursing while obtaining an Oregon Practical Nurse License issued by the Oregon State Board of Nursing at time of appointment.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
